Daet Pineapple FestivalA festival held every month of June depicting the famous and sweetest queen pineapple or Formosa pineapple that is abundantly growing in Daet. The festival showcase the place, people and culture of the capital town as well as its unique and interesting features that are worth exhibiting to local and foreign tourists.
Mercedes Fishtival
It is the fishermen’s holiday celebration from August 4 to 8. This festivity is dedicated as a time of annual thanksgiving for the blessings and bounty received during their seafaring, fishing expeditions and fish farming endeavors. The “Fishtival” is not only a week-long merry making but also a moment of retrospect and recognition of Mother Nature for having endowed Mercedes with the gift of vast fishery resources, magnificent shorelines and other aquatic potentials and the wise utilization and preservation of ecological balance for the attainment of environmental dignity and beauty.
Huli White
A New Year’s celebration featuring a different activities such as fireworks exhibition, multiple dance competition participated by senior men and women of the group, band competition and a dancing session.
Capalonga Festival
A festival celebrating the feastday of the Black Nazarene held every May 11-12 at Capalonga. Mostly of Chinese descents who seek favor for a favorable business climate pay homage to this small town inspite of the rough access road. A whole day series of procession are held around the main streets.
Busig-on Festival
It is held every September 7- September 8 in Labo, Cam. Norte, the festival is based on the epic of Busig-On of Labo town which exemplifies heroism and Bicolano values. The festival features the town’s distinct historical values and sentiments through talent and skills competition featuring the town’s places of interest.
Pabirik Festival
Held in the town of Paracale, from February 1-2, the festival is highlighted by “pabirik” street dancing, depicting the gold mining industry in the province.

Bantayog Festival
Bantayog Festival is a province-wide event, from March-April, that showcases numerous activities honoring the martyrdom of Jose Rizal and the pride of being recognized as the first province to erect a monument in honor of our national hero. The festival is a patriotic gesture, a symbol of patriotism, and a show of distinct resources and cultural identity.

LANITON LANDMARK
It is the site of the first guerilla encounter against the Japanese Imperial Army at Barangay Laniton, Basud, Camarines Norte. It could be reached in about 15 to 20 minutes ride from Daet town proper.
VINZONS CHURCH
One of the oldest church in the Philippines which celebrated its 400 years anniversary in 1981.
CAPALONGA SHRINE OF THE BLACK NAZARENE
One of the famous tourist attractions of the province where all roads, it seems, lead to it every May 13. All devotees and / or pilgrims of different nationalities flock to pay homage to the miraculous image of the Black Nazarene, whose shrine is right in the town proper of Capalonga.
VINZONS SHRINE
It is a tow storey house, the residence of Wenceslao Q. Vinzons, Sr., a hero during the Japanese War. It was converted into a shrine complete with public library and museum which stores the memorabilia of the hero. It is located in the town proper of Vinzons (formerly Indan).
JOSE MARIA PANGANIBAN’S MONUMENT
This is a bronze statue (9 ft. tall) erected inhonor of Jose Maria Panganibn, a Filipino Propagandist in Spain and hero, dubbed as the “Avenger of Filipino Honor”, who was born in Mambulao (former name of the Municipality of Jose Panganiban). It stands right in front of the Jose Panganiba Municipal Hall and contains the remains of the martyr which have been laid below it and inside the center of the monument’s base.
PARACALE GOLD MINING INDUSTRY
Sites of this industry are located at the barangays of Pinagbirayan Gumaus, Tawis and Paracale town proper. These are some of the richest gold mining sites in the province or region. Thousands of gold panners come here from the different provinces of bicol and the province of Quezon and Batangas.

KALAYAAN PARK
One of the most beautiful parks in the Bicol Region with panoramic garden view, fountain, man-made lagoon, Wenceslao Q. Vinzons and Jose Rizal bronze statues (the talles statue of Jose P. Rizal outside Metro Manila). It showcases the cultural, historical and natural resources of the province. It is located infront of the Provincial Capitol in Daet, the capital town of Camarines Norte.
PROVINCIAL CAPITOL
One of the most beautiful Provincial Capitols in the entire country. Reconstructed from 1986-1995, it provide a permanent seat for the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte. It has 12 big front columns or posts representing the 12 municipalities of the province.
ELEVATED TOWN PLAZA
This tourist attraction sports panoramic garden view with fountain, benches, children’s playground, fountain at its entrance, snack bar, piped-in music, wide screen public colored television and skating pink. It is only three (3) minutes away by tricycle from the terminal.
RIZAL MINI PARK
It is located beside the former Daet Municipal Hall and it is where the First Rizal Monument and Monument of the Martyrs of Camarines Norte were erected. It has a playground and benches. About 5 minute ride by tricycle from the Integrated Bus Terminal gets you to the Park.
TOWN PARK
This is a mini-town park with panoramic garden view and mini sports complex in front of Talisay Municipal Hall, Talisay, about 10 minutes ride by jeepney or bus from Daet.
PEOPLE’S PARK
This Park which haws a panoramic garden view with fountain, benches and a monument of Rizal is located in Poblacion Labo, besides the Labo Sports Complex, about 15 minutes by jeepney or bus from Daet.
FIRST RIZAL MONUMENT
It is a three-tiered stone pylon with its square base supporting a triangle in tow stages, the last one tapering off to a point. Built in 1898, the First Monument of Rizal in the Philippines is located across the Old Daet Municipal Hall. Its foundation, it is believed, is made of mortars and boulders from the demolished Old Spanish Jail in Daet where many patriots died, making it historically and culturally significant.

MANGCAMAGONG BEACH
This is a clean gray beach facing San Miguel Bay with clear water suitable for swimming and outings. Its scenic and peaceful ambience provide excursionists and tourists a nice place for relaxation. Cottages, restrooms, roadside eateries and sheds are available to tourists at reasonable prices. Here, you can broil capiz shells- a delicacy.
MERCEDES GROUP OF ISLANDS
The islands can be reached in about 30 to 45 minute motorboat ride from Mercedes town proper. The major attractions in these islands are its clean white beaches, corrals, underwater sceneries, rock formations and fish sanctuary. Additional come-ons are scenic landscapes and seascapes, the attractive lighthouse in Canimog Island, unexplored Canton Cave, and the different types of seashells and tropical fishes that abound. The place is good for island hopping, swimming, bird watching, boating, snorkeling, trekking, scuba diving, golf in Apuao Grande Resort, jet skiing, spear fishing, and other related activities.
CALAGUAS GROUP OF ISLANDS
This group of islands is suitable for water based activities such as swimming, snorkeling, wind surfing and island hopping and land-based activities like trekking and sunbathing. The islands all have beaches with white, powdery sand similar to that found in Boracay. During good weather, you can reach them after a two-hour motor boat ride from Vinzons town proper.
QUINAMANUKAN ISLAND
This tourist attraction offers white wide sand beach and clear water ideal for swimming and snorkeling. It is about 40 minutes ride by motorboat from the town proper of Vinzons.
SAN JOSE BEACH
This is an extension in Talisay town of Bagasbas beach which is known for its fine gray sand. It faces the Pacific Ocean and features strong winds, making it ideal for wind surfing. You can also snorkel, jet ski, swim or just laze around.
PAG-ASA BEACH
Just 3 kilometers away from the town proper of Jose Panganiban, this beach became popular among enthusiastic swimmmers, bathers and night promenaders.
LANOT SODA SPRING
A fascinating creation of nature, it is a soda spring on the beach in Barangay Lanot, Mercedes, near the Camarines Sur boundary, 39 kilometers south of Daet. Barangay Lanot can be reached by sea from Mercedes and by land from Daet via Sipocot, Camarines Sur.

COLASI FALLS
It is an attractive falls amid a pristine forest in Colasi, Mercedes. The falls is about 70 feet high with flashings, blue, cool water for swimmers, bathers and nature lovers. It is about 11/2-hour ride by jeepney from Daet to Colasi and 3-hour hike from the barangay proper to the falls.
MANANAP FALLS
This falls is about 60 feet high with deep watr ideal for swimming, freswater fishing, camping and nature watching. It also offers ooportunities for back-packng and trailing. You could be there after a 2-kilometer hike from Barangay Fabrica, San Vicente.
NACALI FALLS
Approximately 60 feet high, this falls offer a good place for swimming, freshwater fishing, nature watching and backpack riding. It can be reached by hiking approximately 5-7 kilometers passing through Matacong hanging bridge in San Lorenzo Ruiz.
SINAGTALA
About 22 hectares, this land, located at Barangay Lugui, Labo, was developed into an ideal resort destination. The fresh and cool flowing water of Matogdon River was trapped and turned into natural swimming pools offering the best place for picnicking and swimming. It also has facilities like cottages, picnic huts, restrooms and conference room for tourists.
BASUD RIVER
It is wide river system with clear, deep and clean blue water. Awarded as the cleanest body of inland water in the Bicol Region in the Search for Cleanest and Greenest Local Government Units Inland Body of Water category, it is ideal for river cruising, kayaking and swimming.
MAMPUROG RIVER
This river is wide with clear and deep cold water, a nice place to wade in and explore. It is a very popular choice for swimming, excursions and picnics during summer.
BAGASBAS BEACH
The most popular beach resort in the province is in Barangay, Daet. You reach it after a five (5) minute ride on any type of moter vehicle from Daet Poblacion. The beach has a long and wide expense of fine gray sand. During clear but windy days, the waves that roll in from the Pacific Ocean make it a paradise for surfing beginners and afficonados. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
