Summer heat intenses up as twenty four (24) young and gorgeous contestants participated in the first ever Bikini Open competition at the world class facilities of
Splash Island situated at Biñan, Laguna. Dr. Victor Manabat, Dean of Saint Michael College and organizer of the event, and
Splash Island Global Gutz Park Philippines owner
Mr. Sonny Torres spearheaded the project in connection with the Fiesta Celebration of Biñan, Laguna. The two weeks festivities at
Splash Island showcased the cultural history of Biñan, Laguna with colorful cultural performances by Biñan Dance Troupe composing of students from various schools in Biñan.
24 contestants participated in the first ever Bikini Open / Mr. & Ms. Splash Island competition wherein no other than Congressional Spouse & Actress Shiela Israel acted as Chairman of the Board of Judges. Declared winners for the female category are Ms. Khrish San Diego (contestant #10) as MS. SPLASH ISLAND 2010, Ms. Zandralene Mariano (contestant #1) as 1st Runner Up and Ms. Jean Lorraine Mamino (contestant #12) as the 2nd Runner Up. For the male category, winners are contestant #1 Mr. Mark Anthony Benito, contestant #11 Mr. Paulo Martinez and contestant #12 Mr. Carlo Algarne who won MR. SPLASH ISLAND 2010, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up respectively. Cash prizes and the exclusivity to be image promoters of Splash Island were awarded to the winners.
Re-elected Biñan MAYOR LEN ALONTE NAGUIAT lauded Splash Island management, the organizers of the event and all the contestants that participated for making the fiesta of Biñan a memorable event for the youth sector and all Biñanenses.

The Bikini Open held last May 23 (Sunday) at the world class facilities of Splash Island was a big success. It formed part of Biñan, Laguna’s 2-week fiesta celebration being held at Splash Island spearheaded by Mayor Marlyn Alonte Naguiat. Gorgeous ladies and burly gentlemen showcased their beauties and curves during the competition. Indeed a success for all the Biñanenses and the management of Splash Island.

In honor of its patron saint SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR, the City of Biñan, Laguna will celebrate their 65th anniversary at the world class facilities of SPLASH ISLAND, the principal tourist destination about 20 minutes away from the central business district of Makati.
Mayor Marlyn Alonte Naguiat of Biñan, Laguna will spearhead the series of activities within the 7 hectare property of SPLASH ISLAND tagged as “PISTA NG NAYON.” 50% discount in entrance fee will be given to all residents of Biñan, Laguna by simply presenting to the Customer Service Booth of SPLASH ISLAND the following: proof of residency, voter’s ID, Barangay ID or coordinate with the Mayor’s Office for proper endorsements.
The 2 week celebration will start on MAY 15 wherein Biñan Ati-Atihan Dance Group will welcome customers of SPLASH ISLAND with revelry of performance. The park will be festooned by traditional fiesta “banderitas” and Filipino games such as Palo Sebo, Agawang Buko, Basagang Palayok, Sipa, Patintero and Pabitin will be among the games to be played at SPLASH ISLAND. In addition, alluring members of Biñan Dance Troupe and Fire Dancers will entertain guests of the City of Biñan in the entire 2 week celebration.
Students and teachers from universities and colleges situated at Biñan confirmed their participation for the event. Biñan Business Club initiated a Trade Exhibit featuring local industries and products.
Summer will never be complete without swimming and swimwear. The youth sector can participate in the first ever MR. & MS. SPLASH ISLAND and the Bikini Open for Biñan and non-Biñan residents. Contestants can flaunt their assets and participants must be 18 to 24 years old, at least 5’4 for female and 5’7 for male. And for making SPLASH ISLAND the number 1 summer getaway generating revenue and employment for Biñan, the Grand Pistang Pinoy will be highlighted by a special “LUAU” Cocktail Party for all patrons of SPLASH ISLAND and to the business sectors who continue to support the City of Biñan.
